I've got this feeling, fire blazing, and it's hot just like the sun
Monday, March 29, 2010 @ 10:32 PM
I was just finding a rare moment to sit in front of the telly and slack on a Sunday afternoon, when I switched to Nickelodeon. Spongebob Squarepants was playing. So the initial reaction was like
Hey! Haven't watched it in eons! (FYI SS used to be one of my fav cartoons, I would go high and laugh, mentally or physically, at it). So I let the remote rest.
Then after like, 5mins, I got
bored. My brain was itching for something more
educational.
This,
is
appalling.
*mortified face*

I haven't blogged in two whole weeks! HAHA I got my reasons.
1. Common tests. (2 + 1 day but spread across a week)Maybe I'm just gonna pass GP and only GP again.
2. Mount Ophir! (12- 14 march)Was nothing much compared to Fansipan in Vietnam actually. Not much rock to climb, mainly just trekking as in walking up and down. Quite boring, and I felt like killing the trees around me when I found out there wasn't gonna be the absailing part anymore. Cos that was the only part I was looking forward to.
But it was alright on the whole, the best part of course being eating at the summit. Looked a bit like Fansipan's, with the clouds and boulders. The climb down was tougher with the rain, but thankfully Group 4 was leading by quite a bit, so yeah, didn't have to endure that much. I didn't even fall this time HAHA
thanks to toot!
The campsite was somewhat much more civilised than expected. I seriously thought we were gonna do what we did in Vietnam; pitch tents in the middle of some forest. LOL. And no, we didn't bathe in then waterfall hahhahaa. Plus we had real toilets.
Then again, when it rained, the horror awaits.
After our climb we went back to our tents, hoping for a nice warm and dry place to seek refuge. But
noooo, what was waiting for us wasn't that, but a reservoir instead. Thankfully my bag was somewhat waterproof, and although I just chucked everything inside in the morning before we set off, leaving it unzipped, most things were dry. Some others had their everything wet. Should be counting my blessings.
But that's not all.
We went to the toilet, hoping for at least a nice wash. So we rushed to the toilet, and saw hundreds of flying insects in the sink, and in the showers. And I don't know why the sexism, but the guys toilet barely had this problem. AND the girls' toilet had murky water coming from the taps but not the guy's. Weird. But the guys let us use their toilets and showers. :D No more freezing in the rain and getting bitten by the darn flying insects! Haha I admit I wanted to go home so badly I nearly cried. Spoilt brat right.
So our tents were wet and it was still somewhat raining. So where did we sleep? Supposedly in the main hall, which was pretty much just concrete floor and a roof, and was where we cooked. Then along came a at-least-20cm centipede (got chased by it while walking earlier) and the park rangers decided to rent us huts. LOL. Blessing in disguise huh.
Next morning was already time to leave. Final check on everything then washed our tents cos the bus was uber late, then the 3hour plus journey back to SG. Rain greeted us upon our return. -.-
3. CIP at Peiying Primary, Instructor for their pupil leadership camp (one full day)Probably the only CIP which I got a cert for! Was awesome fun and I experienced lots. Joel Ong and I were in charge of Group 7, a cute bunch of primary 3s to 5s, and one assisting p6 prefect. Funny how they call me teacher when I'm not one lol. I'm now a somewhat experienced OGL! Haha taken care of JC1s (actually my age but academically younger), and primary school kids! And I still miss the Vietnamese children..
And cos my mac's air port suddenly poof-ed into thin air. (I'm using the other laptop now)
So it's supposedly March hols now, but it's so accepted to be a null one by now. Monday was drying of ODAC tents, followed by P's rally, then tuesday was VCDsquared reunion at Vanessa's house! Finally! Haha our cheesy name sticks. Then Wed was CIP as mentioned, then dinner at TM with Joanna. Thursday was Pegasus OGL reunion, but woke up late and didn't go lol, rained anyway. Friday was just slacking in school.
Well-spent (relatively) on the social aspect but workpile-wise... uh. I still got Econs, History and Maths homework. Haven't
started. Awesome.

Common test's a day away. And by Tuesday I'd sat for my GP, History, Econs and Geog papers.
School feels like a Japanese bullet train.
And best of all, I can't find my Cold War book. Awesome. My best chapter just did a disappearing act. My throat thingy is back again, and I keep sleeping when I'm supposed to study. My brain seems overheated cos the thermometer says 37.5degC.
I'm complaining again, yes. But at least I'll move on after my rants.
On the bright side, I passed Chinese. No more Chinese for real this time. Had a Pass for orals again, C overall. Apparently my tongue ain't that 'motherly'. Kay lame.
Speaking of which, I came up with a cold joke while stoning during history lecture.
Which country's government is the skinniest?
Ans: Japan. Cos they got the Diet.At least Rebekah laughed. And I admit I did.
Another one,
Which race is the most indecisive?
Ans: Indians. Cos they shake their head whether it's yes or no. And no, it's not racist. Lame at most. Cos some of them really do that. I find myself inevitably doing that when I fake the accent too.
Omg, I miss last-minute chionging for exams with Joanna at Tamps library and slacking with bubble tea after. ): I hate being on my own.

This is a once in a blue moon thing: It's the middle of a schoolweek and I feel energised at 11pm.
Going online's like a weekly affair now. It's no longer a daily luxury. JC2 really is madness. Sometimes at least.
Ahh anyway, my NAPFA got gold again! Yayayyeyeyyy :D
And I'm thinking what to do for tmr's presentation. Something personal. Hmm, I don't know. Was thinking about sharing the lessons I've learnt throughout my life so far but that'll be quite draggy and time-consuming to prepare. No idea how it'll turn out like too. Now's like 11 plus already. And my geog essay outline is uncompleted, still awaiting my attention in my bag.
My last resort would still be the SRGCE photos I guess. Never really had a chance to discuss them in detail. Miss the kids there.
I got to remind myself I'm in J2 and common tests start monday. And I'm still still still procrastinating. Labels: jibber jabber
