Yesterday was Grad afternoon and Joanna Rathna owes dewaine and I dinner money cos she made us wait. Anyway, despite the theme which has the word 'casual' in it, some people still went to salons and everything to get some makeover of some sort. I mean, no offence but who will appreciate it? It's in school, hello? There was this particular girl...when she came running towards her friends i just felt this sudden surge of..disgust. I've no personal feud with her but ...Okay, let's put it this way;You see this girl, whom you see everyday in school with her straight shoulder-length hair which she refuses to tie up, suddenly come running in (somewhat towards you) with the bottom 3/4 of her head plastered in matte curls, sprinkled with more than just a handful of hair glitter. Plus, very very thick makeup.I don't know bout you (since beauty is very much subjective) but what came to mind was a getai singer. And, I think she went to the same salon as her 'bestie'. Teehee. How schweet. Some people were just overkill but nevermind, since we were all given graduation gowns anyway. It makes me feel like a freaking moth. A blue one. But it's pretty cool in a way. I'll tell you why.Cos each of us had to go up and get this (empty) envelope as well as this SAC teddy bear. Apparently, Alina and the rest wanted to go to the back of the hall after and take some pictures. I wanted to bring the teddy bear but since we were going on the pretence of going to the toilet and no 15year-old brings a teddy bear everywhere she goes, I hid it inside my grad gown sleeve. I swear its soo roomy in there, I kept telling people i can hide an entire chicken in it.Like the Korean hanbok. As my mum said, the woman in Jewel in the Palace was pregnant and the reason why no one noticed was cos her dress (something like the hanbok) was so fat at the tummy. So cool hor? Not only teddy bear; can hide one baby even.At the end of it all, we went down to return the gowns and eat something. You know some parents actually takeaway food from the buffet?! Now I know why always so little! If my parent did that at a school function i'll just go the the Pebble Path of Peace garden and literally dig a hole for myself please. -No offence to anyone- And we were so bloody desperate for drinks, we tipped over the thingy just to get like, 10 drops? Resorted to the SAC bottled water anyway.Sarah and Alina wanted to take a picture with MrPoh so i helped them, and just when i was done, I heard this voice like an inch from my ear "one more". Was this hired photographer. He scared the bloody hell outta me. And why all the photographers look so young huh?Ate some stuff then went to TM with Sarah, Alina and Dewaine. Sarah and alina went to watch Mama Mia while Dewaine and I just walked aound TM. I didn't know so many of those shops..it changed uh. We finally ended up at the arcade, watching people play that basketball one..then we said we'd leave it till sarah and alina came out. Went to the balcony where dewaine wanted to take pictures, and I found this very cool and discreet place. Then Dewaine suddenly realised the camera case was missing and we went all scared cos it was sarah's not ours. We practically poured everything from our bags and digged for a obviously-not-there camera case until this man came over and asked "Did you lose this?". Alas! It was it.Oh, and we just realised there are no more neoprint shops in Century Square and Tampines Mall. So sad.Well, we ended up back at the arcade and I made dewaine sit with me at the racing car things. For the sake of sitting only, since we were waiting for sarah and alina. So I suppose we looked like two n00bnub girls amidst all the (chinese and malay) bengs. But who cares anyway.Afterwards when sarah and alina came out we decided to race each other. I WON LOR. HAHAHA. But I lost in the basketball thing. It's because the bar that prevents the balls from bouncing out happened to be blocking my view of the rim of the net. So everytime I throw I have to tiptoe, since i cant even see. How annoying. Then after, we went home. So anti-climatic as usual.Labels: schooly mooly
