Locking blog. Tomorrow.
Monday, April 07, 2008 @ 6:20 PM
I bet throughout the whole weekend, the teachers have been reading their students' blogs. I mean, Im not opposing that entirely. It's not like I say stuff like "OMG! _____ is so darn fat" , nor do I use any profanities
[I believe]. Sure. I do rant a little. But c'mon. Lets be honest here. Who ever grew up liking everyone they met? Who doesnt judge? [besides God]. Who never felt some impulse to say certain stuff?Seriously. I am a teen. And I confess--my opinions get rather juvenile at times and maybe when I blog, I do get carried away and let my hands be led by my heart instead of my head.
[meaning, letting my emotions overcome me.]Yes. Blogging, as I have seen by certain cases, is a rather risky activity. Like Ms. Martens addressed to this issue this morning-- in front of every blog says "www", meaning world-wide web. Yea. That's true. My statcounter shows that I even get readers from the US. From Australia. Countries strewn thousands of kilometres from my home.
So, whenever I blog, thats akin to allowing anyone in the world to read it. And yes. Blogger has kindly given me the choice of locking my blog. The only reason why I haven't [yet] is because of the hassle my friends would face.
When I realise people who aren't my friends read my blog, I get scared. I start running my posts through mentally, thinking if anything I said on impulse could've hurt their feelings. Practically speaking, if i could get sued. And it's rather ironic how I, myself, acknowledged their rights to read my blog by not locking it.
It's just..I feel rather..invaded. And by saying this, I'm assuming you would respect my feelings.
Thank you very much. =]
p.s. I would very much like to exercise responsibility on my part and lock my blog. Locking shall start from tomorrow onwards. And it might be a tentative choice.
p.ss If you are a reader, kindly spare a few seconds to leave a tag on my tagboard, found on the left panel. The one in light blue and white. Otherwise, I feel like you are snooping around, which I'm sure isn't true.
Thank you very much for your kind attention once again. =]
